Zahira College Kalmunai has once again demonstrated its dominance in Taekwondo at the Eastern Province Inter-School Taekwondo Championship, held on August 7 and 8 at the Weber Indoor Stadium, Batticaloa. The schoolβs Taekwondo team not only surpassed their own record of 42 points set in 2023 but also set a new benchmark with 48 points, securing the title of Overall Champion for boys.
This year, Zahira College Kalmunai clinched a remarkable 19 medals, including 7 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication. Additionally, 13 players from the team have been selected for the national competition, highlighting the depth of talent within the school.
The success of the team is attributed to the unwavering support and guidance of Principal MI. Jabir, who visited the competition venue to encourage the students. Special recognition is also given to Vice Principal ALM. Tanzeel, the schoolβs dedicated teacher and principal instructor ULM. Ibrahim, and assistant instructors JA. Sumaid, AA. Hameem, AA. Hamthan, and ABA. Sihab, whose collective efforts were instrumental in preparing the students for this achievement.
